💠Decision Making Court | Fouling players on breakaways
Floorball is a fast paced game, where decisions are made with very short notice. I have always been fascinated by foul situations when players are on breakaways or partial breakaways and what goes into the decision making of a player.
And also - is it something you can coach? I mean in terms of teaching players how to think about the need/benefit/risk/consequences about trying to win the ball or stop the player, with the risk of fouling while the player has an obvious scoring chance.
This is (as always with the Decision making court) a two-step thing, where I will ask for your opinion in step one, and then let you know my thoughs in a couple of days.
So, please watch the video below and feel free to answer in the comments below.
1) What are your thoughts on the way the player tries to stop the breakaway in this particular situation? Worth it or not?
2) Do you have any general thought on how to handle potential fouls on players during scoring chances?
