How Do You Act, When No One Believes in You?

Lund is one of the two new men's SSL teams this season (alongside IBK Dalen), and the narrative from some voices in floorball media has been that they would not even be one of the absolute top teams in Allsvenskan – the second highest division in Sweden.

As a coach, preparing a team which is expected to struggle, can be a fun but difficult challenge. I wanted to check in on Lund early, to see what they are trying to acchieve from a floorball persepctive.

I have two main factors that I personally would consider, when taking on such a challenge.

🛡️ Try to defend in a way that is a little bit out of the ordinary, to make sure that opponent's could come in a little bit unprepared, since they are not used to facing your defense system.

➡️⬅️ Reduce the back-and-forth situations during games, and try to get games to be lower pace – to reduce the number of situations in the game, and try to make the pure skill as little of a factor as possible.
