The hockeybockey series | Multiple drills

This is a series of some of my favourite warm-up and skills drills. It starts as warm-up for players and goalies, and then twists into more skills focused drills after a while.
The first step is a very basic drill, where one player backs up towards the middle line, plays a one-two pass with the own line, the ball gets passed over to the other side, where the active players goes and gets the ball – and then shoots.
Drill 1 | The start of the hockeybockey series
In the second step, I add the actual hockeybockey movement. Hockeybockey is a rink version of the Swedish outdoor sport called bandy. Where the entire game is built on this kind of overlapping movement. Hence the name of the drill.
The movement is a sideways scanning move with the ball, which would be very well suited for the build up while looking for a zone entry. The player is in a good position to scan the opponent's zone while deciding what to do with the ball.
Drill 2 | Adding the hockeybockey movement
After that, in the third step, I also add the chance of playing a pass to the player in the line on the other side, or to the player who did the hockeybockey movement. Look at the drawings or the video clip below, and you will get the gist of it.
