The unorthodox defense system somehow pays off
I have watched a lot of floorball in the last 30 years or so, and it makes me happy every time a game stands out for one reason or the other. This is one of the weirder games I have ever seen.
Hovslätt finds a way to beat Kalmarsund at home with a score of 6-5. That is what the history books will tell us about this game. If we have a look at the big scoring chances, they for sure paint another picture.

Obviously, floorball is about scoring goals. Hovslätt won that battle. From a sustainability perspective, it feels like they will need to do some surgery to their defensive game.
Kalmarsund are up 40-15 in big scoring chances in this game. That is a lot. The scoring chances off of high danger shots are actually pretty similar, but the ones coming from mid-high danger shots are extremely one-sided in favour of Kalmarsund.
Alright, so we know that Hovslätt won. We also know that Kalmarsund probably should have won. Let us look at what tactical stuff there is to disect in this game.
