Breathing Room and Deliberate Decisions Through Joker(s)
Small area games can sometimes be very intense and sometimes almost a bit too chaotic. There are definitely practices, in which I like to slow down the pace and give my team a chance to make clever decisions through creating space with good, deliberate runs and passes to open space.
A good thing to do in these cases, is adding a joker in the back court, who can distribute balls and act as a little bit of breathing room in the chaos, to increase the amount of deliberate and planned actions during the small area game.
