🌡️The polarizing approaches to 5-on-6 play in floorball

One of the more interesting things in floorball, is that in many ways - it is still very copy/paste in certain aspects. One of them has always been the way teams approach playing five on six. It feels like it is very standard for teams to play some kind of passive 2-2-1 system in their own zone, but I rarely hear someone being able to tell me why it has become like this.

At this time, I feel like the tactics behind playing five on six is going in two diametrically different directions. We see the teams trying to mix it up with full court press and counter-press, but we also see a lot of teams protecting their goal with a very passive approach.

Let us break down both approaches today, with some tape of SSL games. 👇
